Allegri: You can't fight against tanks with a normal weapon
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri responded to Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbe's statements about their respective opinions on the football competition.
De Ziri spoke in a previous interview with the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport about Allegri’s statements.
De Zerbe said: “Allegri says that football is simple and I disagree with him. Football cannot be simple.”
He added, "I agree that football may be simple in the event that the confrontation is between 22 players on the field only."
And he continued, "And I do not think that only the winner can speak after the match, and I think that the result is the last thing. My whole life is for football, and if I only stop at the result, I will feel bad. I want to win in my style."
Massimo Allegri came to De Zerbi, saying: "The intelligence of the coaches is to understand the team available to him, and if you have (a normal weapon), it is not possible to wage war against tanks."
On the competition in the Italian league, he said: "Juventus should be the favorite to win the Italian league title this season."
He explained, "There are teams better equipped to win the Italian League, such as Inter, Napoli and Milan."
He concluded his statements, “We must do our best to stay as close to them as possible and finish the league in the top four.”
